From small beginnings in Maroubra Junction, Farmer Joe's Chicken started as a BBQ Chicken Shop serving customers with freshly cooked chickens and salads in the late 1970's.
Entering in to the 80’s, client demand bought on a need to introduce a greater variety of products other than the cook range we were offering. Public demand saw Farmer Joe’s Chicken enter the wholesale market place with fresh raw & cooked poultry lines.
As the wholesale business grew the company developed a reputation for commitment to all our clients’ needs and demands whilst supplying products with continuing consistency and 1st Quality Assurance System.
In the 90’s, Farmer Joe's Chicken outgrew our Maroubra Junction premises and moved to larger premises in Marrickville, where our good work led us to greater exposure and increased poultry sales to clients like Sydney Convention Centre & Spotless Services.
Today Farmer Joe's Chicken has settled at Mascot, our purposely built factory comprising of 1800sq of work area is centrally located to provide distribution to Sydney Metro, Newcastle, Wollongong, Goulburn & the ACT.
Farmer Joe’s Chicken is proud to have enjoyed a close association with major catering companies for over 20 years, supplying quality poultry to Prestige Restaurants, Major Sporting Venues, Five Star Hotels, Government Institutions, Retail and Wholesale outlets.
Our HACCP programme is a very important part of Farmer Joe's Chicken, a means of continually improving our business from the management to production and delivery. Our HACCP programme is implemented so that quality of our chicken is monitored from point of receival to when the chicken is dispatched every morning for distribution by our refrigerated fleet of trucks.
Our lengthy and close relationship with our poultry suppliers has enabled us to ensure that we have supply at all times at a price which has allowed us to maintain a competitive stand in a continually changing market place.
From the early days of catering the needs of small businesses to being the Major Supplier of poultry to the best Olympics ever, Sydney 2000, Farmer Joe’s has an unmatched understanding of catering needs; these needs are fulfilled through our service and quality.
Our priority when meeting order specifications is always to supply a product which is second to none while still maintaining a low cost base. Our products offer minimum preparation time and wastage, as we understand this is imperative in order to keep control over food preparation.
